Life in Mohave County - A Year-Round Recreational Wonderland Full of Culture

A growing retail base, golf and water recreation, a weekend cabin in the Hualapai mountains, gaming, and high-end amenities, and warm sunny winters, await you in Mohave County

Why not live where over 5 million people vacation each year? We offer mountains, desert, rivers, lakes, with Indian heritage and historical culture of our pioneer mining days gone by. Here there are brand new, modern facilities, shopping, golf clubs, marinas, and day spas - with casinos open 24 hours, so regardless of your work schedule, you can enjoy them. Here there are open roads, crisp air, and a breeze off the water. Imagine your Christmas tree being a palm tree and a holiday present being an ATV or kayak with a bow on it!

  • Did you know that a 30 minute one-way drive to work is equal to losing six 40-hour work weeks? Here you can live 3 minutes from the hospital and save all that time for fun, or your time devoted to anything more important than staring at the bumper ahead of you in traffic!
  • We're what Palm Springs used to be, but with the Colorado River and Lake Mohave!
  • No hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes here!
  • We're a laid back place with unpretentious neighbors who welcome you with a smile.

Location, Location! Southern California is a 4 hour drive on I-40, and we are under 90 minutes to Las Vegas to see Cirque du Soleil, a Jerry Seinfeld performance, a championship boxing match that will be broadcast around the world, or for a day trip to "the world's shopping Mecca!" Come join our wonderful life here in Mohave County!

Shopping/Eating/Leisure/Spa

With ample shopping, an indoor 2-story mall, large retailers like Home Depot, Target, Lowes, Sam's Club, and large-chain grocers, everything a family needs is here. Fine-dining to quaint family restaurants, to fabulous buffets and bistros, are popping up throughout Mohave County. For the ultimate in relaxation, the Salon and Spa at Harrah's is a treat!

Lake and Marina

There's nothing like Lake Mohave, especially to cool things off in summer. From taking your boat out for the afternoon, renting a pontoon boat for your own sequestered inlet with a mountain view, jet skiing, fishing, or enjoying lunch at Katherine Landing Marina, our lake is another great place to be in Mohave County!

Kayaking and Canoeing

There may be nothing more peaceful than kayaking through the Topock Gorge on water as smooth as ice or into the Black Canyon and its caves and spying a bobcat or deer on an early weekend morning.

History, Culture, and Theater

Living in a community with rich Indian history like prevalent prehistoric Native American pictographs and petroglyphs, like in Grapevine Canyon, and our past pioneer culture, make life here even more fascinating and fun. Complemented by a robust community theater and performing arts there is plenty to stimulate the cultural palates of the young and old in Mohave County.

Local Airport and Industrial Park

While our Laughlin-Bullhead International Airport is currently for charter planes and private aircraft, we are now seeing progress toward daily commercial flights as we grow. With a runway already capable of accommodating 737-sized airplanes, we plan to grow our runway to 9,000 feet to accommodate the largest commercial planes.

In how many places in America can you get desert, lakes, and snow (in our upper elevations in Kingman)?
